Why I Love Ebay

Okay, let's be honest. Ebay is pretty much like the most addictive website ever. Now, am I right, or am I right? That's what I thought;)

I bought this guy right here last week after succumbing to the J. Crew bubble necklace trend. If you haven't seen them, and you aren't like the Queen on England with a hoard of money, do yourself a favor and just walk away while you still have the chance- the authentic ones about gave me a heart attack when I saw that little sucker of a price-tag. So when I found this for $10 on ebay, it seemed like a no brainer.

And, well... now I'm addicted. Forreal, y'all. I just placed a bid on eco-skins. Like, what in the world- what is that?! Shoot, I wish I knew. All I know is I NEED them.

Can't. Stop.Bidding.

The Ebay bug has bitten me hard. Lord help me.

Have you guys been a victim of Ebay's addictive power? Any crazy items sent to you after a moment of bidding-weakness? I'd love to hear! :)

Liar, Liar..

Yep, I know what you are thinking...

She said she was going to wear shorts. I am lookin' for some pants on fire, because I most defiantly spot a liar.

Easy there, tiger!  I actually do have a pretty legitimate reason to help my case- just a tad, anyways.

I went to work with my daddy! No, seriously! I did!

And I must admit, it was really, really neat. My dad works in the magazine industry, which is where I have a feeling that I will wind up working at, too.For some time now, we have been talking about arranging a day where I can sit in and talk with some of the designers, editors, and marketers, and today we (finally!) got around to doing it.

Anyway, moral of the story: shorts don't fare well in an office full of professionals. Alas, it was the maxi skirt that I went with ;)

Life in Color

What I Wore

Today I made sure to wear shorts.
Actually, every day this week I have made sure to wear shorts. And while I'm being honest, I might as well go ahead and admit that there is a 100% chance of me sporting shorts for the next two weeks.

Go ahead, judge me;)
But, hey, with the (dwindling) number of days I have of summer left, combined with my schools obnoxious dress code policy, it seems only natural to get as much wear out of my shorts as possible.

Today, (surprise, surprise!)I went with my festive pink shorts. Might as well have a little fun wearing while in the midst of my wear-shorts-marathon, right?

Home Sweet Home

 What I Wore + HOME!

Guess who's home? Finally! (Hey! So what if I'm just now getting around to posting ;)

Oh my goodness, math lesson of the week? Me + camping = one big mess. (and just when you thought you were done with school for the summer, I threw a good ole dose of math at ya ;) While I had a blast, I am really glad to be back home! I love vacations, don't get me wrong, but there is something about being within the comfort of my house that I seem to miss.

Picture taking was severely lacking on my part, but I do think that some of the people I was with captured a few shots that might be worth sharing a little later on. For now, here's today's outfit. And let me be clear when I say it is oh-so-nice to trade my nike shorts and baggy t-shirts for my everyday clothing!

Falling for Fall

Today is a good, good day. For starters, I am in the mountains... and I could stay here forever. Seriously, if you you could see the view I have right now, you would just die. Really, it's that incredible.
Second, I have internet access! YAHOO!!! Here I was, thinking I had to choose between the jaw-dropping mountain experience and the internet, but no. Maybe that's what I get for assuming. And I think we all know what assuming does.. ;)

So, thus, today is a rather good day.

Since I am camping and did not bring anything remotely close to being stylish (Hold up, you mean my overalls and straw hat ain't stylish? No, no, I'm just kidding, really ;), I am afraid you lovely people are stuck with a polyvore outfit. With the signs of fall already beginning to show up here, a fall-inspired outfit seemed oh-so-appropriate!

I'm hoping to have some more posts like this one until I get back to my closet back at home.
Hope y'all are having a great week!

Vacation!

Vacation is one of my favorite parts of summer, no doubt.  The anticipation, the excitement, and the packing (okay, so maybe I'm alone on the last one ;) get me in the vacation mindset, and then before you know it, the day of your trip has arrived.

Can't wait to go here again!

And since yesterday was spent packing, that means today... we leave for VACATION!

For now, I have a week-long date with mother nature, a tent, and some camping equipment. I will be home on the 22.. so hold tight until then!

Hope y'all enjoy yourselves this week!

Seeing Stripes

What I Wore

Fact: I hate skin-tight dresses. Why? I couldn't begin tell you even if I wanted. Maybe it's the non-existent comfort factor...maybe it's the *suck-in*skinny thoughts* that plague me. Honestly, I just don't know.

Recently,  my hatred had reached a new high. Then this dress came along.

I have a stripe fetish. Anyone who knows me also knows of this unhealthy obsession of mine. That, combined with the dress's $10 price tag (Forever 21, I love you.) was enough to make me look past the fact that it was, indeed, a body-con dress. So, what did I do?  I put a baggy jacket over it and counter-acted the second skin feeling.
Seriously, it was that easy.
